Technical Skillset:-

· Comprehensive understanding of current tax accounting standards, direct and indirect taxation regulations, and strong financial analysis and interpretation of financial statements.· Sufficient familiarity with international tax treaties.
· A thorough comprehension of international accounting standards, such as IFRS and IAS.

Regular Duties:-

• Processing tax audits, including closing open tax years; · Preparing tax returns for all jurisdictions on time, including but not limited to regulators in Pakistan’s Federal and Provincial as well as AJK & GB jurisdictions. · Periodic calculation of current and deferred tax provision and recording of periodic tax entries to cover the tax liabilities and contingencies in accordance with accounting policy, International Accounting Standards, and GAP. · Management, application, and compliance of withholding tax regime as applicable on the banks under federal and provincial taxation laws. Liaison with tax authorities, tax advisors, lawyers, and providing pertinent information and details.
· Tax risk identification and reduction. · Internal stakeholders tax advisory.
